After the game 7 pain of '65 ("Havlicek stole the ball"), the '67 Sixers lead by Wilt Chamberlain ran up a record 68-13 season en route to the title; voted the best team during the NBA's 35th anniversary. Wilt was traded and freefall ensued until Dr J joined in '76. He took Philadelphia to 4 NBA Finals, ultimately winning in '83 with Moses Malone. The Sir Charles era soon followed, as did The Answer era after that, taking the Sixers to the 2001 Finals but losing to LA.
