Heads Up22-Feb-12

Team was originally based in NY and the name chosen as it rhymed with Mets and Jets. Lead by Rick Barry they lost the '72 ABA Finals. Barry left, Dr J arrived and so did the '74 title. Joined the NBA in '76 and, lead by Jason Kidd, eventually made it back to the 2002 and 2003 finals, but lost both. Lean times since but under new Russian management, the Nyets will once again shine in Brooklyn.
